Sun River Electric Cooperative, Montana Electric Cooperatives' Association (MECA), and Basin Electric Power Cooperative are offering several scholarships to students who live on the Sun River Electric system.
Applications are available at the Sun River Electric office in Fairfield, your local schools, or you may access them on the links listed below.
MECA offers one $500 Scholarship in Sun River Electric's district.
Basin Electric Power offers one $1,000 Scholarship system wide.
Sun River Electric offer the following Scholarships:
- $1,000 Scholarships for students who live on the Sun River Electric system.
- $1,000 Continuing Education Scholarships for students already in college.
- $5,000 Lucas Fowler Memorial - Electric Line Worker Scholarships.

Who is eligible?
Applicants for the Sun River Electric Scholarship must be a dependent of a Sun River Electric member and a graduating high school senior entering his or her freshman year in a college or trade school. Applicants for the SREC Continuing Education Scholarship must be currently enrolled in a college or trade school and a recipient of a SREC Scholarship their senior year of high school. Applicants for the SREC Lucas Fowler Memorial Line Worker Scholarship must be a graduating high school senior or a high school graduate or equivalent and must live in the SREC service area.
